NCIDQ, IIDA
After years as commercial interior designer for an architecture firm, Barbara started WINDLAND DESIGN, LLC in 2019 from a strong desire to connect with clients on a more personal level by focusing on the spaces in which they live and love, their homes. She has designed primary homes in the Midwest and East Coast and stunning second homes in South Florida.
Never a follower, Barbara blends styles, materials, color, and textured finishes in unique ways that are “trend forward” more than “trendy”. She also uses the power of architecture to add value and character to her clients’ homes. Her clients are thrilled with their finished spaces that they find comfortable, yet stylish and exciting at the same time.
Barbara believes her early days as a broadcast journalist were the PERFECT building blocks for her design career because she learned that asking the right questions and in return, listening to the stories shared, was essential to creating the right solutions for her clients’ diverse lifestyles.
She also believes that everyone has a unique life story to tell. Your home’s style should reflect what YOU love by looking collected over time. Her fresh approach and design expertise will ensure your story is captured beautifully and authentically.
Barbara lives in Nevada, IA with the love of her life, her “Iowa Farm Boy”. They are blessed with three grown children and three granddaughters.
